Axis Program Release Meaning
The San Juan County Axis Program serves sentenced women with substance-use needs in an inpatient setting. The county's official Alternative Sentencing description places case management on both sides of the residential phase. A person can therefore leave the live-in placement and continue working with the program in the community. That is a real custodial exit, but it is not proof that every part of the sentence, supervision, treatment plan, or court case has ended.
